The Secret Garden of Awen

How exciting is this?....

SOoooo, what or where is The Secret Garden of Awen?...Well we would like to introduce you all to what will be a Virtual & Enchanting place where we aim to keep you all updated on ‘What’s What’, ‘Who’s Who’ and anything else that might be happening in our magical Awen/Pagan world. We will be stepping between the worlds and the realms, sharing Awen news, upcoming events & opportunities, and anything else we think you might be interested in.

There will be different parts of the Garden to explore from the healing garden to ritual space. There will be face to face virtual times to meet up as well as podcasts on various topics that we hope will become available in time.

However, and just as importantly, we hope that the Secret Garden Of Awen will create a magical place enabling us all to keep in touch throughout the year, helping us all to maintain existing friendships, especially when most of us live so far apart, as well as forge new ones. We hope that by having the opportunity to come together and keep in regular touch, we will be supporting each to keep the Spirit of Awen magic, connection, community & tribe going throughout the year, even when we are not physically all on the Awen field in North Nibley.

The Secret Garden of Awen will be a monthly subscription service, which will include different levels of inclusivity as we grow. But the good news is, that by subscribing now you will become part of the fabulous and exclusive ‘Founding Members’ club of the ‘Secret Garden of Awen’, for the very affordable monthly subscription price of £8.50. This means that as a ‘Founding Member ‘ you will have access to all levels and content. There may be additional add-on’s in the future that you might want to consider, but that is a little way a way. But for the now, as a Founding Member, everything will be inclusive. Monthly subscription prices might vary as we continue to build on what we have already created, increasing what’s on offer and depending on content level being accessed, but to be honest this won’t be for a while yet, as you will appreciate these sort of things take time.

Why have we decided to go down the subscription route and why do we think it is important?...

By supporting us in this way, you will be supporting the continuation of the camp and any other future events that we are able or looking to organise. For the Spirit of Awen to exist, it takes a significant chunk of the year with huge amounts of time, effort and work required over the course of twelve months. This, which we know you will all understand, is essential to the continued development, organisation, management and the actual implementation of a camp like ours, not to mention any other events that we might want to offer.

The practicalities of this mean that as self employed people we are unable to earn properly through much of this process. For many years both Jamie and I have managed to subsidise camp, its running costs and our lack of earnings via our own savings. But this is no longer sustainable and in real terms not even possible now. So we really hope that you will feel that this is something that is important enough for you to be able to support and in return we promise to continue, as long as we are humanly able, to support and create the magic, sceptical, community & tribe that is the Spirit of Awen.

So what can you expect to find when you turn the key to unlock the ancient doorway into our secret haven? Well…..Read on dear reader, Read on....

1: There will be a forum so that we can all keep in touch, share, maintain friendships as well as forging and securing new ones.

2: I am most excited about this one….There will be the monthly online Chronicles of Awen…. It will be a a Newsletter, for your delight & amusement & enlightenment. It will be full of the seasonal updates, what’s on, perhaps a little pagan gossip here and there, but most definitely there will be the introduction of our own beloved magical ‘Agony Aunty’ Vagina Buttercup to answer all of your magical and perhaps not so magical questions &/or problems…You will be able to write/email/message her.. so don’t be shy she will be waiting Quill poised & ready to respond…You never know, we might even be able to persuade one of her fellow Blood & Bone Crones to join her in writing responses! So all Wands & Cauldrons at the ready my Lovelies, At the ready....

3: I will be hosting the Women of Awen’s monthly New Moon, face to face on line meet up, which will allow us to focus on a specific topic of the month, seasonal, craft, ritual & Luna significance. So I look forward to seeing you all there...

4: Very excitingly, we are very much hoping that there will also be a bi- monthly online face-2-face S.A.D.S..( Spirit of Awen Debate Society). We will post the question in good time to give all a chance to have a think before the great debate! Please do submit any questions of your own as well for future debates via the dedicated forum space.

HOWEVER... please remember the focus is on esoteric questions etc only. We will not be wandering into the murky political waters of the current world order, as fascinating and important as those might be, our debate group is not the place for it. Thank you in advance my Lovelies for your understanding.

5: We will be creating a Healing garden Space; where by a book will be open for you to place anyone’s name, including your own, so that healing can be sent & healing candles lit. We will also arrange a weekly time so that those that are interested can all light a candle at home and send healing at the same time.

6: The Ancestors Book of the Dead will be open for entries over a three day period at Samhain. You will be able to add the names of those whom you want remembered. The Ancestors Book of the Dead will be placed in the House of the Ancestors within the garden. May They Be Remembered.

7: As a founding Member you will be offered discounted tickets for two additional face to face gatherings over the year, if they are organised. Please note the Spirit of Awen Camp is not included as one of the two events eligible for discount.

8: As a founding Member you will be offered 10% discounted on selected merchandise.

9: Life obviously is not complete without the most excellent invocation/ evocation, (you make your own mind up on that bit)…of the Legendary Awen inspirational threat of the Month (not the daily as is the case at camp ) or maybe we will add a beautiful picture for you to muse over.. So many choices here, but I’m sure there will be something for everyone at some point in the proceedings...

10: Podcasts: I am hoping that once we are up and running I will be able to offer meditation, talks, workshops and a host of other things, that you will be able to access, down load and engage with. These might not happen straight away, but I will aim to get at least a few up before next camp.

11: We have also included the Spirit of Awen Recipe and Cocktail of the month! Absolutely classic and you will soon have your very own collection of yummy recipes to create a rather fabulous Cook Book!

So there you have it my Lovelies, Welcome to the Secret Garden of Awen! There is, I think you will agree, there is a lot on offer and I think there is something for everyone. There is still a lot to organise and to get in place, so some of the items will be take longer than others to be available, so please be patient as not all aspects will be up and running straight away, but I hope you will agree that there will still be enough to keep you coming back and wanting more.
